Parasite (2019) movie review

Thursday, November 28, 2019

Today at 4 pm, I decided to go movie theater to see a Korean movie, Parasite. It had rained all day. But by 2 pm, pouring rain had stopped. So, I drove to a nearby theater. The parking lot was quiet, and there were many parking spaces available, most likely because of this weather.

It was an interesting thriller that literally kept me on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what will happen next because of its interesting twists. Now, I know why the title is called ‘Parasite.’ There are a lot of parasites in this movie, preying on others. And, the story moves fast. It doesn’t drag anywhere. It is well-paced. It is in Korean with English subtitles.

At 6:30pm, when the movie ended, it was pouring rain again. As I walked quickly to my parked car, I noticed the parking lot looked like flash flood. It is a good thing I didn’t have to drive far. I drove straight into my garage. Two days of pouring rain, with occasional breaks.
