I am sure all of us who have worked in the restaurant business know the slogan “The customer is always right.”
Regina Thomason enter an International House Of Pancakes (IHOP) with her brother Dwayne Roach who has Downs Syndrome for a meal.
Dwayne has a love for name tags which makes him a special person that all of us like. Millie Young who was waitress who attended both Dwayne and Regina was impressed when Dwayne saw her name tag that had the word “Millie” on it.
Dwayne is a huge fan of Marvel Comics super hero Captain America since he told Millie that was Captain America.
Millie could have insulted him for making such a weird comment that he was a real life version of the America patriot in the comic books during the World War II era.
Millie showed compassion to Dwayne since she put two plus two and realized that Dwayne has special needs and she decided to make him happy by making a name tag with the Captain America moniker.
Millie placed the name tag that read Captain America on Dwayne shirt which made him and Millie very happy campers.
Regina used the power of Facebook to record the great deed that Millie did for her brother which drew a lot of likes on the site.
Millie insists that she enjoys her job as a waitress since making her customers happy is her goal. I like that in a person.
I think she has a knack for taking care of customers which special needs.
it took little effort on her part, and yet meant so much to him…
I do not know much persons with Downs Syndrome but Millie handled the young man with class which impressed me a lot.
she seems like she knew what she was doing
It is evident that she is well trained to handle customers with special needs.
Is that a part of waitress training, or did she just have a knack for it?
Very nicely done. Another good deed.
My pleasure to share this great story.
