Blade runner 2049

What does it mean to being human?? Does it mean to find a connection that lasts a lifetime?? Does it mean appreciating the little things that makes us human??

Ryan Gosling plays a blade runner  called k who is told to find a child that was born under strange circumstances.  While on this journey,  you come to understand how lonely k’s life is. You can feel the isolation and loneliness of k through Ryan Gosling’s performance. He has a hologram for a wife/companion.  His relationship with the hologram is really simple but beautiful.  Especially, the moment that she is human and feels raindrops for the first time and k’s touch and kiss as well.

Harrison ford reprises his role as Rick Deckard from the original blade runner. It wasn’t  a big role that we are used to seeing him in but his performance was good enough to hold up the film. It has motivated me to see the original.

Denis Villeneuve directed this visually stunning film. There were some moments that the movie was slowly dragging along. When the movie lasts 2 hours 44 minutes,  are you surprised??

Blade runner 2049 is a movie about defining your own humanity. Don’t let a moment go by when you can wonder at raindrops or snowflakes. It has all the action for the adrenaline junkies but has the cerebral moments for everyone else.  Blade runner is a must see that drags a bit abd and will make awards season noise.
