Jack was coming up the street when he saw someone who looked familiar.
Her hair was dark and well styled, she wore just enough makeup and a name brand dress. He guessed she must be a celebrity he’d seen on some show.
As he moved closer he realised he knew her.
That was Paula!
Paula! A girl he had dated in college.
Happiness exploded, he was going to run to her, embrace her, but then saw the man she was with.
The man was dressed every bit as ‘pricey’ as she, and if he had to give points, the man would be at least an ‘8’ and he, Jack, would barely make a ‘6’.
So Jack stopped moving.
Too bad there was no reunion.
She gave her side; how her cousin was injured and she focused on family. He now thinks back to what happened.
She went on to turn her experience into a novel, into a movie. He went no where
