Sign on an Apartment Building Celebrating that Cubs fans No Longer Have to Wait for Someday (2016-11-08 11-55-49a)
The sign, which is located on the south wall of the apartment building at 3709 North Sheffield Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, is a reference to the Cubs winning the 2016 World Series. Their previous win was 108 years prior. The no longer have to wait for a victory someday.
The goat is included on the sign because, in 1945,a Chicago restaurant owner was not allowed to bring his goat into Wrigley Field to watch the Cubs play. He put a “curse” on the team.
The photo was taken using a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera and edited using ACDSee Ultimate 2018. I straightened the image a bit, adjusted the lighting and boosted the contrast and clarity.

That’s a nice shot…c”,)
Beautiful Catch Gary. And this editing is great.
Since I’m rarely in the area, I was fortunate to find it.
Thanks. I appreciate it.
That apartment building gets more conspicuous by the sign! This is your other cool photo.
It’s very close to Wrigley Field where the Cubs play. I took the photo shortly after they won the World Series so there were signs all over the place.
