Using nature for Nature Tuesday!

You might be wondering just how in the world you would use nature.. Can you think of any?

There are several ways to use nature. You use nature when you go outside, take a walk, take photographs of it, and garden with it just to name a few.

A few years back I tried my hand at mini gardening, and posted about it here, but all the pictures disappeared. I honestly thought it would be easier than it was. I did make a few mistakes, like I should of used sand for the ground, aquarium gravel for on the ground for the paths.  Even with my mistakes I was pretty proud of the end results on both of them.

It sure was fun.  I used things I had found in nature. Shells and tiny rocks were used as boulders and furniture. The furniture has a Flintsones look to it. The tiny plants are mostly sedums, jade and other drought tolerant plants. The only thing I had to purchase was the white gazebo, white picket fence, two tiny dogs, a few tiny pots for plants, and a sign.

Here are the pictures…

#1 I used an old fire pit thingy for the base.

I put in gravel, sand, then potting soil for the medium to plant in. I also drilled a few tiny holes in the bottom for good drainage.

The fence and gazebo are for doll houses or train set backgrounds.

#2 The little dog and sign.

I just had to get these two items. Never litter, leave only footprints......

I made the picnic table using Popsicle sticks.
