Nancy decided she was old enough and strong enough to explore her past.
She had done a DNA test and had been able to find her birth mother.
Nancy had one of those standard miserable lives.
She had grown in foster homes, bouncing one to another. She jumped into marriage with an abusive man, then escaped.
She struggled, was homeless, some survived, was able to get an education, find a good job. She met someone, was married and had a real life.
A good real life.
Nancy felt she was ready.
Her husband, Hal, was supportive, and so Nancy was able to embark on her quest.
