Too Late – Justin – 3 – End

Justin glanced at the television.  The actor who replaced him was going through a scene.  Justin could not but imagine how he would have spoken, moved, even the expression on his face.

He looked at the television feeling his wife’s eyes cutting him like lasers.

Why had he turned it down?  

Why had he considered being given a recurrent role on a television program being ‘locked in?’

He left the room, into the bathroom, looked at himself in the  mirror.

He realised his career was over.  That he’d never get another opportunity as the one he had turned down.

It was too late for recriminations and what ifs.  Too late to think he would make it as an actor.

It was time to find some other employment.
