A Message to the World

“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. If the world wants to make a judgment, they must walk through the same fires. If they have not walked through those same fires all they are doing is guessing and flapping their jaws. They are a part of the problem.”

I didn’t ask to be raped when I was 12. I didn’t even understand what was happening. So later in life when people used vulgar words to attack, I was 12 again, confused, hurt, misunderstood, and angry. But “NO MORE.”

There is nothing you can do or say to damage me. I will never be perfect and I will never stand on the sidelines and watch people be bullied. I will always stand up for those who need to know that they have a great value and everyone can change, learn, grow and become more whole.

I am proud of who I have become and hateful words may slow me down for a few minutes and then they will give me courage, strength, persistence, insight, and the fuel I need to be a shining light for those who know what it’s like to be treated badly and need someone to remind them just how amazing they are. I will not let my sister’s death be in vain.

My heart is bigger than your hate.”
