One of the things Abusers, Male AND Female focus on is the person who either has no living family or is estranged from their family.
This is a flag that ‘lunch is served.’
For an Abuser, whether a Boss from Hell or a Husband, the key feature is to find a Victim who has nobody.
When a person is singular that means there is no ‘third party’. There is no one that can ‘over see’ a relationship.
The Abuser will be able to fill the Single’s life with their friends and family.
This results in the Victim having only the Abuser and his/her people.
Think of it; if this woman has two big brothers, a Dad and Mom and lots of friends, the first time husband shouts at her is the last, because she has a place to go to. If he strikes her, she can run to safety. The abuse is over.
If this man has a family, they can examine the actions of the female he is involved with, and see what he doesn’t, and make him aware of her machinations.
This will, in most cases, end the relationship.

As to the item on Abuse; if there are people around you… they can open your eyes. That is why abusers try to make sure you have no one.
