Cory and I married two months later in a civil ceremony. No costumes, no intricate and poetic vows, no reception. Just a quiet ceremony, then dinner in the ‘best’ restaurant in Remote, (which was a mix of diner and bar), and then we went ‘home’ to my shack.
There was no earth shattering change, in fact yesterday was just like today only it was tomorrow, and I was Mrs. Erskine not Miss Maltz.
We remained in Remote, even when the others left for home, because it was home to us.
We had gotten promotions, we were virtually ‘in charge’ and it wasn’t until a year later, when I was pregnant that we went back to civilisation.
Sounds like a happy couple and family to be.
She doesn’t know that, she is think more in the ‘resignation’ mode than the positive
There was a change. You were no longer single. You were married. You do not have to have a fancy wedding to be happy. I hope you are both very happy together.
Thank you, but this is a fiction story. It is not me.
