I found another black and white photograph to share with you all. This is a photograph I took at a carnival quite a few years back.
In the photo you see the kids roller coaster and the ferris wheel. I love photographs of ferris wheels, so it’s fun to photograph it in black and white.
I think this kind of photo looks better in color, but since the color challenge is now black and white I am sharing the black and white version.

I agree with Kim, with this photo I think I like the sepia better. Shows more detail.
I agree that the sepia works better for the photo…..but I had fun experimenting!
It is fun to edit and see what the results will be.

I like the sepia colors better, but the framing in this one better. But of course they are both great photos and sure do work for the lack of color. Thank you again for entering these beauties.
Thank you very much for your feedback! I had fun editing both and liked both outcomes…but for this photo I think sepia looks better too! May try the experiment again with a different photo subject!
Its a great way to learn what works and what doesn’t. I am still experimenting as well. And btw black whites and sepia will be in the just for fun challenge someday as well. Edit away!
Well experimenting is part of the fun! And that’s great to hear that it will be…I’ll get another chance to do more experiments. Of course I probably would still do it without a challenge…but it’s fun to do it as part of a challenge 🙂
