This video is from last year, during Smokey Bear’s 75th birthday.
I just found out that Smokey Bear was born on August 9, 1944. Smokey will be 76 on August 9th. He is mostly known as a spokesman for forest fire prevention. I remember the cartoon commercials during the 70s, and all the wildlife animals urge people to be careful to save their homes and families from forest fires.
But nowadays we are aware that most of these wildfires are actually intentional for political reasons.
That is a good day! It was also my grandfather’s birthday!
