Even though Christmas 2018 is behind all of us, I could not resist sharing this story from Indianapolis Indiana where a Good Samaritan assisted Gabe Wattley who is the son of LaDonna Wattley who was overcome with tears of joy when a Good Samaritan gave Gabe $60 dollars so he could buy his mother a coat for Christmas as a surprise.
The love between Gabe and his mother LaDonna is so wonderful to know about since La Donna needed to buy a new coat since the former coat that LaDonna’s old coat was past its prime.
The minor problem was that the price of a new coat at Target during Christmas was out of the price range for LaDonna to pay. When LaDonna was at the checkout line, a Good Samaritan assisted Gabe to buy the new coat for his mother by giving him the $60 dollars so he can buy the coat for his mom as a Christmas gift.
When LaDonna and her son came home, Gabe told his mother to close her eyes since she was going to get a huge surprise.
When LaDonna found out that a Good Samaritan assisted her son to buy a new coat, she was deeply moved that her son who she has raised to learn right from wrong. rewarded her for her kindness on Christmas Day 2018.
LaDonna wants to meet the Good Samaritan who donated the money needed to her son so he could buy her a new coat to replace the old worn out coat.
With the power of social media site Facebook, I am sure that the Good Samaritan will answer LaDonna’s request to thank her personally.
The brownie points comment get me in trouble with fans of Lebron James. I tell them that their insults of me being a whiner are so funny that they should be on Univision’s situation comedies.
If I were the Samaritan, I’ll just give LaDonna a Christmas Card or anything else to say “Be Happy always” but wouldn’t meet her.
That would be a great idea since some Good Samaritans like to keep their good works quiet.
A sincere intention can turn transactional when it becomes public knowledge, right?
You have an excellent point Albert.
Maybe they will meet, maybe not. It works like that sometimes. Great story.
I am sure that the Good Samaritan will meet with LaDonna one day via a chat on the videos at the social media.
some Samaritans prefer to remain anonymous…
I do not blame them since if some Good Samaritans reveal their identities to the public, they would have to deal with some people asking them for money under false pretenses.
or they want the deed to be remembered
You have a very good point there since I get in trouble on social media for saying “Give so and so a Brownie point” for doing good deeds.
some folks only do good deeds for the brownie points, while others thing the deed itself is it’s own reward…
You are the most beautiful person who does not stop sharing with us positively charged posts. And I congratulate you.
My pleasure to share the good news stories from around the nation and beyond.
