On Friday, June 5th, it was raining in NYC. Saks Fifth Avenue and other stores were boarded up, I guess for protection against rioters and looters. There were men with dog guarding the boarded Saks building. I am not sure what is going on here.
Graffiti drawing on a building has two upside down satanic crosses and the words Stay Ugly.
It is like they are protecting the city from a future warzone. Even Barnes & Noble is boarded up, while the ones here in California have reopened. Maybe they are preparing for future destruction.
NYC appears to be completely shutting down.
I love how they have barbwire and a fence along the boards.
like a prison camp…they are turning the area into a prison camp…
I can definitely see that. I’ll have to get back downtown this upcoming week, but last I saw everything was just boarded up. Within the neighborhoods in Chicago, they have been adding graphic art to the boarded up businesses which actually doesn’t look bad..
i have some relatives in the chicago area somewhere. they might be in a suburb, not sure where exactly. but i barely know them. i have only met them a couple of times in california during the 90s for family reunions.
We refer to outside of Chicago as Chicagoland. I was surprised that many businesses didn’t get hit outside of Chicago. Its like the looters worked as a group like the car boosters did on the movie Gone In Sixty Seconds.
Great idea’s and nice post!!!!
