Business Women – The Balancing Act

Running the business, keep the home clean, keeping the kids happy, keeping a personal life! It can all be mind boggling, overwhelming at times.

But I am here to tell you it can be done, with a little practice you can have a life and have a successful  business.

#1 Scheduling

First - Make a schedule.

I know this may sound silly but it works! I was running back and forth, with my mind filled with everything I needed to do... cook, clean and what about the order, I have to make it and get it out in the mail.... and on and on.

Then I thought about it. Make a schedule. I will tell myself to stop and do this first, I know it will take about an hour.

Next cook, I am sure I can cook a meal in 45 minutes.

Cleaning? .... what day should I do this?

#2 Remember Who You Are

Second - You need to remember who you are. You are many people all in one body, one mind but you are still a woman.

While we are on the quest to make money to support ourselves, we are also cooking, the cleaning lady and the taxi, we also have feelings and want to enjoy life.

Do not forget to make a date night. Everyone wants and needs love, so put the title away and think about yourself and your other for a night.

After all you are the boss!

#3 Be The Boss

Learn to let the little things go.

So you have a million and one invites to different events that pertain to your business or just parties for the holidays, its no big deal!

Select the ones that would benefit you the most and go with those. Send a polite note, rsvp, or email declining the invite due to conflicting schedules.

After all you are the boss and you are in control.

#4 You Are In Control

The most important thing to remember is that you control your life. There will be days when you feel like everyone else is in control, and there will be days when you do allow other to step up and take control.

Let that hired manager do their job.

Let the nanny take the children places.

Hire a cleaning lady to come in a couple times a week.

Go out to dinner once and a while.

But always remember you are in control of your life and how you make business and family work.
