There will come a time when you are safe and strong and for some reason, ‘need’ to prove it.
Women who have never let on that they understand the pattern to the abuse, who have never let the Abuser know they see through him as glass, often do things, not dangerous things, (hopefully) to prove to themselves that they have ‘won.’
The ‘winning’ is the proof they know they were abused, they know the Abuser doesn’t know, and some how ‘kick him to the pavement’ without warning or recognition.
The joy is to ‘know’ that he doesn’t ‘know’ and when he tries his old tricks, they backfire.
