A close neighbour of ours has just acquired this Model A Ford in excellent condition. I was taking the dog for walk a few weeks ago and there he was, fitting indicator lights on it to make it road legal.
It was built in 1930 and has Ohio plates. It ‘s a two-seater saloon with an open-air dickey seat at the back, and is in perfect condition.
I haven’t yet seen it on the road, but I’ll be begging for a ride sooner or later!
Isn’t it amazing that a car built 90 years ago can still look as good as the day it rolled off the production line?
That car is vintage, all right, but it doesn’t look old.
It’s the genuine article, amazingly well-preserved.
My favorite car was my dad’s old Impala. He never kept it, but when I come across one I smile and think of him. Great photo!
Thanks. The neighbour only has room for two classic cars – under wraps alongside it is a 1950s Buick!
