Vance Kirkland was a prominent American artist who lived in Denver, Colorado from 1929 until his death in 1981. While he created a great variety of paintings (around 1200), the ones pictured below focus on his Abstract Expressionism works and his “Dot” Paintings. For some of his larger works, he suspended himself above the canvas as shown below in the first picture. Although the pictures don’t always do the paintings justice, I hope you enjoy them.
