Poem: Missing Heart

Mother father joined as one

until they had a son

Then along came twins

and later a daughter

The one son ran away

so one of the four hearts

decided to part

One day while eating breakfast

the lonely waffle-shaped heart came home

No longer for the need to roam

The photo from Pixbay reminded me of a good home that became unhappy, but for what reason. The one heart that was missing made me think that something happened to interrupt the four-hearted family. The one son ran away, but only to find out his HOME was ‘No Place Like Home,’ and never again have thee desire to roam.

What do you think?
