For some reason, mannequins really creep most people out. I don’t know if it is the uncanny valley effect or something as simple as “it is the same size as I am, and it isn’t moving BUT IT MIGHT!” thing
I don’t really need to know the answer to leverage that fear into my work, but it might inform my application.
