‘Oberon – The Awakening’ – after Raphael
Oberon is the Fairy King in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This reworking of a Raphael painting gives Oberon an avenging and powerful presence, not only a Fairy King but perhaps a God. The eagle’s head adds even more to the regal warrier feel. It is another one of my Art About Art works.
