Hard to justify a soft filter lens effect in such a dark alley, but she does have supernatural origins so why not? Even though I've taken some major liberties with the character, I think this piece is still pretty faithful to the source material...

This rough sketch showcases the graffiti wings on the wall, which not only recall the crow metaphor but should also evoke the notion of an avenging angel: I can't call my artist and miss the chance at such ready symbolism. Usually I like to be more subtle, but this piece calls for a heavy handed approach
