This painting ”Kiss” is one of the most famous work of the artist Gustav Klimt. Many people are wondering what is the meaning of this painting? Love, couple, kissing? Instead is the portrayal of love and art, a couple locked in a golden-flecked, flower-filled embrace.

This painting dates of the Golden period, 1907, 1908. This artist had 14 illegitimate children. Throughout his life, although he was a controversial painter due to his subject matter, he was made an honorary member of the Universities of Vienna and of Munich. He had so many affairs and discreet lovers. Well, in my opinion, this may be and indication for his passion to paint the masterpiece ”Kiss”.
