I looked outside
to see if the sky
was There
still Gray
The drizzle plip plopped
in a robotic Way
Each drop a fairy
with head held High
hiding in the hollows
of the grass to ask
the sun
come back with diamonds
some Day
And westward the desert
groaned
send some water today
Too much water
long falling East
at least
Send the drop fairies
to carry a few drops
long down our Way

days of rain
then sudden on the lane
the suns shines on you
