CRY a Someling: a soul fears Death

SONG of a SOMELING
CRY A SOMELING
SONG OF A SOMELING
IS a cry in art
for fear of LIFE
FEAR of stoning
the stab of a KNIFE
IN each of us is part of the SOMELING
(3)
MUSIC comes by
and whispers with SHY
SWEET notes of comfort
some good comes
no need to DIE
EACH DAY drives BY
IN the SOMELING’S EYE
HERE come the sticks
and licks of the desert
as rabid men TRY
to pound on one GUY
I talked to the SOMELINGS
and in some minds there is
song-wisdom and sweet soaring
and in other minds there is
tattered tears and the salt-wine of
of humanity
long song winding sounds
frothing in the sadness
of the sprawling morning.
(4)
from the mouth of the SOMELINGS
is the story won
is the spark fed to the POET
deed of the SOMELING
fed as ONE.
is the spark fed to the POET
deed of the SOMELING
fed as ONE.
THOSE who are not SOMELINGS
are the SHORT side of MAN
a failure to UNDERSTAND
we each are born
to command
a TALENT to give back
BEAUTY TO MAN
THE SOMELING is a rising
a stumbling, a scourge
with the urge
TO GIVE us all
the BEAUTY
From the sun-food mouth of the world
sewn spews the SOMELING
sun-food spews the SOMELING
spews him from the masses
if spark crushed leaves him mired,
the spark fed
is salvation in its own.
(6)
those who are not SOMELINGS
are the strength and curse of MAN
and in the SOMELING is a failing
and a stumbling and a scourge
and a rising and a GLORY
that makes up for the REST!
(7)
PAINT me in the scant sky
and let me unwind
to fill in the spaces
with human self acceptance
shoring the weakness of men
with self understanding.
(8)
I see the WIND SONG world around me
melt into a SONG
but the seconds that tick
on the cosmic clock
are a century LONG
we lost at EDEN
and SURGE to
Bring back beauty to our LAND
