Iglesia Pentecostal el Lirio de los Valles (2017-07-01 13-29-37a)
There are lots of churches in Chicago, some grandiose, others, plain old storefront. This does not reflect on their devotion in the least. They’re just different styles and that interests me quite a lot. The church is locaed at 3279 West Armitage Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.
A friend of mine and I were out shooting pictures this afternoon and, as we were driving back to meet our wives, I noticed this church and grabbed a photo of this church as we drove by it. (Don’t worry, my friend was driving.)
Because it was a grab shot and I literally had about three seconds to take it, it needed extensive repair work. I used ACDSee Ultimate 10.4 to rotate, crop, adjust the lighting and boost the contrast and vibrance.Photo © 2017 Gary J. Sibio. All rights reserved

Nice image of a church in Chicago.
Thanks
I bet ?
Very nice thanks for sharing
Thank you for your kind words
Next door to my daughter art studio they have a small church with wonderful music playing.
There used to be a little storefront church for Nigerian immigrants across the street for me. They were getting started about the time we were getting home from mass. They were a joyful bunch.
Some people will use any kind of building to worship it seems.
It has a lot to do with what they can afford, I think. I prefer more grandiose buildings but, if you don’ have the money to build one, this is better than nothing.
beautiful
Thanks
It reminded me of a trip I made to Mexico some time ago, Europe is more classic, a great image, super American, I love it.
We have a lot of those also. I work at a Catholic church that was built in the 1920s in the Gothic style, including gargoyles.
Wonderful structures loaded with faith, greetings Gary
