Bruce Fagin who is the executive vice president of the not for profit group called “The Good Dog Foundation” which is based in New York City does business in the states of New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
What is great about this program is that since dogs are man’s best friend, the volunteers who own the service dogs that come to visit senior citizens, inmates, college students who face tough challenges getting ready to take their exams find happiness making people who are either dog lovers or admirers of other kind of pets.
To make sure that the service dogs do not harm any person who they consider a stranger, the service dogs go through six hours of training in a simulation room to get them ready to do their work as service dogs.
The program is a great way for people who need the company of a puppy of both genders to spend some time learning to kick off the feelings of anxiety or depression that sometimes take over all of our emotions.
The Good Dog Foundation has been in business over 20 years. I wish that this program can grow in leaps and bounds in the near future since the principal of doing good deeds to others since the love you give to someone is returned with an extra ounce of love in return.
The Good Dog Foundation is supported by donations from the people around the world that believe in this program.
You are correct since I am not only an uncle since I am single and never been married.
Sounds like a great foundation, I would give if I could.
I am with you as well. Since it is the puppies and their owners who get the best time of their lives assisting others.
we were just talking about this on another post
You are correct on that matter.
it was like a deja vu…
That is so true about our comments on this blog.
I usually have several of these open at once and times like this I get confused as to which thread I am on…
A foundation with great and noble missions and programs.
The foundation in New York is awesome beyond words for both the volunteer and the person receiving the love from the dogs that visit them..
A logical consequence of their love for dogs too.
Dogs are like my own children or young relative.
Those of us who love pets will certainly behave like that; they are like our own children.
