The Sun Belt Conference (SBC) has quietly become a strong mid-major college football conference over the past few years as five of the ten teams played in bowl games last season. The Sun Belt looks to continue to shine this season. Power Five conferences should not take their non-conference games against the Sun Belt too lightly because Troy defeated Nebraska last season. Keep an eye on Sun Belt teams during the first part of the season because an upset may be lurking once again.
