It is almost summer, and I am in a fashionable mood. While outside or inside malls, people watching and window shopping, I have noticed pastels and bold colors, whether solids, prints, or floral. Bold rainbow colors are being promoted, whether rainbows are a symbol of springtime or for political homosexual reasons. I decided to go on YouTube to check out Vogue Magazine videos, where Anna Wintour summarizes some Spring/Summer 2018 fashions on the runways.
#1 Spring/Summer 2018 in Milano, Italy
#2 Costa Mesa, California mall in OC
I traveled today to South Coast Plaza, which is only 5 miles away via my VW Beetle, and I took some snapshots of Nordstrom mannequins. Immediately, I noticed that the new look for store window mannequins is the bald robotic look, which has been popular for a couple of years now, although I much prefer mannequins with wigs and makeup. But, besides that, I noticed bold colors for sundresses, blouses, and pants, as well as culottes and wide legged pants and cropped pants.
Sunglasses, espadrilles, sandals, and sunhats are also popular.
#3 Menswear at Nordstrom window display–Costa Mesa, Califoria
- Menswear for Spring/Summer 2018 is just as soft and fun, but in neutral colors. Men's colors are all about natural and earthy colors, but in pale neutral.
- One male mannequin is wearing a casual, unstructured, and loosely fit pants and jacket with pastel colored blouse and Birkenstock.
- The other male mannequin wears a dark colored shorts, floral print tropical shirt, sunglasses, and sneakers.
#4 My Surreal Mannequin Art Photography, Part 2
In this surreal mannequin photograph, I tried to capture downtown Costa Mesa, which includes a crowded and busy parking lot, mannequins posing inside Nordstrom, customers insider the store, and trees surrounding the mall. The mannequins in the first floor are African American to represent diversity.
I had two more videos on this post that are missing due to glitches.
