BCCI( Board of Control for Cricket in India) Likely to be under the Horizon of RTI (Right to Information Act)

The giant Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may soon come under the purview of Right To Information Act (RTI ACT OF 2005) AS PER THE Law Commission of India’s latest updates and reports. The Law commission of India also suggested to the Union Government to do so. Also the Apex court of the country earlier had questioned the Law Commission to deep into this matter to recommend for it to the Union Government of India.

This worthy report of 126 pages have been submitted by the Law Commission of India’s Chairman, Justice B S Chauhan (Former Supreme Court Judge) at the Ministry of Law on last Wednesday as on 18th April 2018. The said recommendation urges the function of BCCI as alike ‘State’ and also collect huge Public Funds by it’s sporting activities across the Globe. BCCI also the richest Cricket Board in the world.

This report suggests that  the BCCI acts it’s state like Function and as per the Article 12 of the Constitution which turns the organization classified as a ‘State’.

Will it possible to bring the BCCI like body to come under the arm of RTI ?

The Possibility of BCCI to come under RTI is positively expected to have it’s clearance from the Union Government as many corruption has raised earlier within BCCI  which Indian Republic needs to know including the  truth of a Scam star Fugitive, Lalit Modi who is EX-Chair Person of Cricket IPL(Indian Premier League).
