In Kazakhstan, near the Tian Shan mountains, a small, only 400 meters long Kaindy lake flows. It is famous for the fact that the lake has a drowned forest. The lake was formed not so long ago – in 1911. The earthquake caused a huge stumbling landslide of stones and mud, which became a natural dam for the future lake. From the mountains to the ravine began to flow water and sunk the coniferous forest that had risen to this day. Interestingly enough, the tree spikes dropped quite quickly, but the trunks still remained to crawl out of the water. Looks pretty perplexing.
I love this. Feels like home.
