About 20 years ago my husband and I had a conversation about weather alerts. We live where is snow in feet rather than inches most of the winter. I was reluctant to sign up because I felt like it would be overwhemed with alerts all winter. It did give you the choice of everyday, storm, and severe winter alert. So we agreed on severe winter alert. In the last twenty years the only thing I have received is one notice a year saying I am still enrolled in the severe winter alert program, which means an email if expecting severe weather.
So this morning I check my email and there is a severe weather alert. I was about 3:15 am. I found it interesting. About an hour later we got a reverse 911 call about weather.
