In our culture dinner is the bonding hour of the family because that is the only meal time when the family can be complete. Usually the father is the breadwinner and the mother is a housewife. When dinner time comes all the children should be home. While eating there is a conversation regarding what happened during the day. It is like a reporting of the kids and even of the father too.
In this modern time I don’t think there is still a bonding hour. Families have their own culture especially that almost everyone is into the internet. Eat when you have time. That is the new culture now.

I don’t think very many families have dinner together anymore. I remember as a little girl sitting at the middle of the table with my mom at one end and my dad at the other. Those are great memories but I was too little to remember any conversations we might have had. Most likely I told them what I had done in school.
The kids get mad at me but my rule is no cell phones at the table during dinner.
