We live in a village with a lot of trees all around. It is a mix of wood trees and fruit trees. The wood tree is more of the Narra tree which is our national tree. There are also the giant acacia tree that look like centenarians. For the fruit trees, there are mangoes, so many of them that almost every street has a mango tree. There’s also the avocado, Duhat and cotton fruit aside from the guava and chico plus many other fruits.
For our contribution, we have the cashew tree, the custard apple, guava and some more. We always have fruits to harvest during the fruiting season. That saves us money since we seldom buy fruits in the market.

That is great you have all those fruits. The main fruits you could get from trees in Latvia are apples, pears, and cherries. Here in Florida, I don’t see any fruit trees.
Yes, it is great to grow your own fruit, vegetables and herbs…Seeing the high prices in the shops for fresh fruit and vegetables, a garden of your own is a necessity. Plus the satisfaction of having done it yourself.
