They remain dormant the whole year but with the first thunder they come up one by one I call them thunder balls. May be they have a sophisticated name and if any of you know it I would be please to know what they are called.
These remain fresh in vases for several days. We have other flowers like lilies who also remain dormant but come up when summer sets in.
Nature has her ways and we look at her as someone organised but these days she is a bit erratic. It rained at the wrong time and destroyed our bell fruits.

Very interesting flowers and I looked them up online since you call them thunder balls they say these are tropical hibiscus.
