I just wanted to share a silly incident regarding the pink butt baboon. When a group of us where in another city for a conference we reached the place way to early and had to wait for some time. We decided to go to the Zoo close to the conference hall. As we entered the zoo my friend who is a plant enthusiast like me yelled look at the number of anthuriums here. We looked in the direction of her hand and all we saw was a bunch of baboons. We told her that there were only baboons there and she showed us the pink anthuriums in their butts.
LOL she is close sighted and all she could see was their pink butts which she mistook for anthuriums. We did have a good laugh and a rather fun trip to the zoo.
This is my submission for the Saturday critters Challenge.

I have seen documentaries and of course n the zoo. Amazing to watch.
As a shortsighted person I can relate, lol. I have seen them in the zoo.
Give glasses to this friend of yours. He must be a very happy man when he sees everything in pink. I am interested in monkeys but to watch them from a distance. Sometimes they are aggressive.
i love baboons (from a distance) they are quite amazing to watch.
your poor friend, time to get new glasses!
They seem to be less trouble some than most other monkeys here. They are only found in certain areas. And yes, my friend got herself a new pair of glasses when we got back. we still mention the anthuriums to make her blush.
that sounds like a fun thing to do! I have a couple of friends that do that to me (I, of course, would never do that to them) ‘-)
