Tonight I wish to tell you a story
One of those that may mean nothing to noone, except to the writer herself.
The story may look as if brutally cut off of a book, but it is part of a project I am thinking of undertaking so – please bear with me as the story unfolds.
Once upon a time there was a little girl who was so pretty and sweet.
Always smiling, everybody wanted to spend time with her.
She enjoyed playing, laughing and running so much
But homework, she hated it when it had no math
So one time there was too much homework to do
But no math to write, no math anywhere
So she did have such a clever thought
It could be a bigger surprise
If you did not know her at all
She respected her teacher
Did not wish to let him down
But homework was so unbearable to her
She decided to ask for more of it – but –
She asked me to prepare many many papers with math
So that the teacher would be dazzled
And forget for ever
The homework, that empty piece of paper
My son dislikes school work. Show and not tell will add spark into your story. 🙂
My son never enjoyed homework either.
Cute story. Maybe you could put in how she is thinking as in a dialogue with herself. “Oh, there is too much homework without math. What should I do? Oh I know! I will ask for so many pages of math that rhe teacher will forget about the empty page!”
