Without Exactly 60 Coffee Beans In His Cup, Beethoven just couldn't compose.

Ludwig Van Beethoven took his coffee with exactly 60 beans per cup. The notoriously temperamental Beethoven once asked wryly, “Won’t you have some coffee before you go?” after he had frightened away an unwelcome companion. This famed composer was obsessive about his coffee and would count out exactly 60 beans per cup, according to his biographer. Modern-day coffee connoisseurs say Beethoven’s 60 beans per cup recipe is about 10 fewer than a modern perfect cup.
