Tobacco as insect repellent

One friend taught me to use the tobacco spray to protect our fruits from the invading insects particularly the fruit flies. The tobacco is soaked in water overnight like tea in a teabag. The water is put in a sprayer to spray on the plants.

I have tried the tobacco repellent in our lemon seedlings which seems to be the favorite of moths to lay their eggs. When the larva comes out, it will eat the young leaves of the seedlings. Now the seedlings are growing well with no interference from the pests.
