The source of the bathroom scrub called loofah

Some of you may not know that loofah is a fruit. Loofah is the scrub for the skin that is common in the bathroom of the wealthy people. It is brown in color and the shape is similar to the steel wool. But loofah is soft to the skin so it became popular as a skin scrub to remove dead skin while bathing.

As can be seen in the picture, the elongated brown objects in the tree are fruits of the gourd vine. The vine climbed the tree hence the fruits are there. When they are not matured, they are eaten as vegetables. But when they get overripe and very matured, they turn brown and become loofah.
