The saga of the stray animals

In our country, there is no distinction between a stray animal and a loose animal. The dogs in the secondary streets can either be loose which means there is an owner that doesn’t care or it can be a stray dog which means there is no owner. That also applies to the cats which are usually found not in the streets but mostly in the yard of a neighbor.

Amid the law against loose animals, an animal welfare organization had made an estimate that animals in the streets comprise about 10% of the animal population. They try to encourage the owners to be responsible especially for dogs and cats but it seems the animals outside of the home is in the culture that is not easy to correct.
