The sad plight of jeepneys

The jeepney is like a small bus that is native to our roads. The capacity is usually 20 but sometimes more depending on the length of the jeepney. The arrangement of the seats is one long bench on the left and one on the right. The middle is the aisle while at the rear is the entrance and exit.

Unfortunately due to social distancing, the jeepney is not allowed to ply the roads because the passengers cannot be positioned in a way for the proper distancing. The 2 long seats face each other with a distance of only 2 feet between the knees of the passengers. That cannot be, the government said.
