The restaurants are once again closed

We are in another lockdown and restaurants were again closed by order of the local government. The purpose of the lockdown is to arrest the spread of the corona virus. We can save lives, they said. But what about those people who are going hungry? They probably wouldn’t die anyway so the government seemed not to care for them.  

If this virus persists for years I wonder if there would still be many to survive. Perhaps half of the population will  perish not only from the infection but also from hunger.
