The proper social distancing when walking

Almost all pathways ain the public places here have markings like that you can see in the picture. You cannot just walk on any side of the pathway that you prefer unlike before. It is like being a vehicle on the road that there is a specific lane where you can walk.

If this virus would prevail for a long time wouldn’t it be a little awkward to see those markings everywhere? What do you think is the insinuation of those markings? Man is not smarter then animals because they need a guide on the proper place to walk on.
