If you will observe people in a public place like a restaurant or a park, those without companion are mostly using the phone. In one survey, it said that 90% of single people (having no companion) will be using the phone to fight boredom or to avoid wasting time especially if they are in waiting for something. The phone is not only for communication but also for entertainment like the games that can be downloaded for free.

There is one case of a new widow who survived the loneliness of living alone with the use of the phone as her companion. She can call anyone she desires, she can text, she can even go to social media to mingle and have fun with the interaction. With the versatility of the phone, it is admitted that it is a good companion.
