The loose chicken in our neighborhood

I didn’t know that the loose chickens in our neighborhood are owned by several neighbors. All the while I thought they were owned by one person only. Now the owners are offering my live chickens for cooking. But I refused because I see those chickens as pets and I will just buy the commercial chicken for our food.

The loose chickens are fleshy because of the constant eating that they do by pecking on the soil. Just a few feeds given in the morning and also in the afternoon, the chickens are always heavy in weight compared to those in the cage.
