I have several hard disk that are external which are mainly used for archiving files. Particularly the output of my digital camera, they all go to the computer’s hard disk and a copy is sent to the external hard disk. In case the computer’s hard disk experiences a problem, the archive has a copy of the files.
In the picture is the new external hard disk with a capacity of 1 terabyte which is equivalent to 1,000 gigabytes which is quite large. But the problem is the design that it can only be used by a computer that runs in Windows 7 or 10. My desktop is running on Windows XP, an old operating system that cannot access the new hard disk. That is the hazard of the technology, they change without regard for the old models.
That is good to have back up. I have a backup attached to my computer that has some older files and photos I always need access to so that they aren’t all on the hard disc
