The dwindling church collection

We have to understand that the church thrives or survives only on the contribution or donation of the faithful. In the normal times that people flock to church the collection plate was always full. The church had ample funds that could repair the church and to cover the overhead expenses.

In this pandemic era when the church attendance is very limited I wonder how long can the church survive. The collection is always a pittance that may not even be enough to buy the priest his daily bread. I hope the situation will not last long.
