The Chinese lantern

There are many foreign influences in our culture because we were under the rule of Spain, Japan and the US. But the Chinese were first here. Although the Chinese did not conquer us with military might but they conquered our economy with the business. In fact, until now we are still buying Chinese products. But that’s beside the point.

The Chinese influence in our culture is very evident with the Chinese noodles. It is our usual noodles before the Japanese ramen came to town. Even the Korean noodles are no match when it comes to noodles. That is one food that China had given us.
